Hello Mrs. Lang and all the students. I am a former student of the wonderful Geoffrey Hilton Elementary. Of course that was a long time ago, but I remember lots of things that I learned in 1st grade from my teacher Mrs. Reil. My favorite thing was to read "Dick and Jane" books. I don't know if those are still used but they sure were fun. Keep up the great work on your web site.

Mrs. Lang,
What a great Web site! I was doing research on the Internet about the D'Nealian program, and your site was among those listed on Yahoo's search list. The information you provided your students' parents also proved to be helpful for our story. Thanks!
We are a 20,000 circulation newspaper in east central Illinois, right on the Illinois/Indiana state line in Interstate 74. Danville is a city of 33,000, but our area is one of the best agricultural area in the state. Vermilion County ranks among the state's top five counties for production of corn and soybeans.
One more fact about Danville: We're the home town for Gene Hackman, Jerry Van Dyke, Dick Van Dyke, Donald O'Connor and cabaret singer Bobby Short.
Again, thanks for creating such an informative Web site. Good luck to you and your students this year.

P.S. May I suggest a good book to read? THE SECRET IN THE MATCHBOX by VAL WILLIS.
